Benefits of a shaft sleeve

A shaft sleeve is a metal tube, usually cylindrical in shape, mounted over a shaft or shaft assembly. Its primary function is to protect encased components from impact, wear, corrosion, and erosion.

Shaft sleeves are perfect for an array of devices, but typical applications are pumps and compressors. They shield the shaft seal running surface from damage.
